Get in the festive mood while learning to create felted Christmas decorations in the comfort of your cosy and warm Shepherds Hut. In the pre-Christmas period you can take the opportunity to slow down and enjoy the tradition of crafting decorations and presents by hand. Each workshop can be tailored to your wishes and suitable for beginners to more experienced felting.  Workshops are available to book throughout the year, with different options to suit every season!

Rachel is a Kent based doll maker, textile artist and designer and owner of Ophelia Dolls. As a member of The Heritage Craft Association and British Toymakers Guild, Rachel is passionate about slow, traditional crafts and creating unique characters.

In the cosy and calm environment of your Shepherds Hut, reclaim the benefits of reconnecting with nature as you gain an introduction to natural dyeing and learn about the myriad of colours that can be obtained from plants. Then using pre-dyed wool from the Romney sheep on the farm, you will be guided through the craft of needle felting to create your very own beautiful felted decorations & creations to take home.

A truly immersive experience in traditional hand crafting that is both therapeutic and rewarding, you will leave with a new skill and all the tools and inspiration to carry on at home.

All levels warmly welcomed though felting needles are extremely sharp so this experience is not suitable for children under 10.
